Job Description:

Join our dynamic team in Crawley as a SEMH Teaching Assistant. Your role will involve supporting classroom activities, helping students with special educational needs, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver clear feedback on behaviour, attitudes, and peer interactions
  • Maintain positive behaviour and focus, adjusting strategies when challenges arise
  • Create a supportive and safe learning environment through strong pupil relationships
  • Promote independence and uphold high behavioural expectations
  • Support lesson delivery by implementing and adapting planned activities
  • Reinforce teaching concepts and ensure resources are prepared
  • Contribute to a well-rounded curriculum that supports pupil achievement

Requirements:

  • A patient, caring and positive attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
  • Previous experience working with children in a school setting

Nice to have:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children is desirable
