Job Description:

Do you have the patience to guide a student through a tough challenge? We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join an "Outstanding" Academy in Tottenham. You will be the vital support system for students with diverse needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Job Responsibility:

  • 1:1 & Small Group Support: Work closely with students to break down complex tasks into manageable steps
  • Inclusive Learning: Support students with SEN, EAL (English as an Additional Language), or those who just need an extra boost
  • Classroom Partnership: Assist the Subject Teacher in managing the classroom and preparing learning materials
  • Emotional Support: Build strong, professional relationships that help students feel safe and motivated to learn

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK and an Enhanced Child DBS (on the update service)
  • Empathy & Resilience: The ability to stay calm and supportive in challenging situations
  • Communication: Strong English and Maths skills to assist with the secondary curriculum
  • Experience: Previous experience with teenagers or in an educational setting is a plus
