The School of Cybersecurity at Old Dominion University seeks applicants for three Teaching Assistant Professor positions with expertise in the broad areas of of CyberAI (AI for Cybersecurity and AI Secuirty). The School of Cybersecurity places high value on excellence in teaching and seeks to complement the existing academic strengths in cybersecurity and cyber operations. The Teaching Assistant Professors will primarily support graduate education at the School of Cybersecurity. The position also requires advising for undergraduate and graduate students. The Teaching Assistant Professors are expected to be able to develop new cybersecurity courses to support the growth of the CyberAI programs. The School of Cybersecurity at ODU was established in 2020 and houses one of the largest cybersecurity programs in the nation with a total of about 1700 students. ODU has been designated by NSA as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Research (CAE-R), Cyber Operations (CAE-CO), and Cyber Defense (CAE-CD). ODU is among a handful of elite universities that have received all three CAE designations. ODU is also the first only university in the nation to have its CyberAI programs (both AI for Cybersecurity and AI Security) validated by the NSA. A PhD program is expected to launch in Fall 2026.

Requirements:
M.S. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
Successful applicants are expected to have demonstrated successful teaching experience in cybersecurity or cyber operations
Nice to have:
Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
Experience teaching hands-on lab courses in cybersecurity (cybersecurity techniques and operations, ethical hacking, etc.)
