Job Description:

Every child has a voice; as a TA here, you help the world hear it. Are you a nurturing person looking to make a real difference? Randstad Education is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school community in Plymouth. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in delivering lessons and supporting students in their learning
  • Work closely with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Provide tailored support to individuals or small groups of students
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Support the class teacher in managing classroom activities and behaviour
  • Maintain open communication with parents and staff about student progress

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, preferably with SEN students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Experience with classroom management is beneficial
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
