Job Description

Randstad is recruiting adaptable and passionate Teaching Assistants for immediate day-to-day supply cover across Plymouth and the surrounding areas. Whether you are an experienced TA looking for a better work-life balance, a graduate gaining classroom experience, or someone looking to transition into education, supply work gives you total control over when and where you work. No planning, no marking-just pure supporting and teaching.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting the class teacher to keep lessons running smoothly
  • Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who need an extra boost
  • Creating a positive, welcoming environment for students
  • Helping manage classroom behaviour in a supportive, constructive way

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children (school settings, childcare, coaching, or youth work are all great)
  • A proactive, enthusiastic attitude and the ability to adapt to new environments quickly
  • Excellent communication and behavioural management skills
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check (or the willingness to apply for one through Randstad)
