Teaching Assistant | Autism (ASC) Specialist | Local Specialist Schools. Position: Full-Time, Long-Term (Term Time Only). Salary: £90 - £95 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. Are you a patient, perceptive individual with a passion for neurodiversity? Join our specialist network as an Autism Support Assistant and help children with ASC navigate their school day with confidence, comfort, and success. Job Responsibility

  • Promoting Predictability using visual schedules and now and next boards
  • Supportive Interventions working 1:1 to deliver personalised learning tasks aligned with EHCP goals
  • Managing Meltdowns with empathy by recognising early signs of sensory or emotional deregulation
  • Social Coaching by facilitating structured play or social interactions

Requirements

  • Naturally Observant
  • Relevant Experience with Autism
  • Resilient & Kind
  • Committed with enhanced DBS on update service

Nice to have

  • Experience with Autism (either professionally or personally)
  • knowledge of TEACCH or ABA principles
