Job Description:

Teaching Assistant | Autism (ASC) Specialist | Local Specialist Schools. Position: Full-Time, Long-Term (Term Time Only). Salary: £90 - £95 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. Are you a patient, perceptive individual with a passion for neurodiversity? Join our specialist network as an Autism Support Assistant and help children with ASC navigate their school day with confidence, comfort, and success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Promoting Predictability using visual schedules and now and next boards
  • Supportive Interventions working 1:1 with personalised learning tasks aligned with student's EHCP goals
  • Managing Meltdowns with Empathy by recognising early signs of sensory or emotional deregulation and implementing calming strategies
  • Social Coaching facilitating structured play or social interactions

Requirements:

  • Naturally Observant
  • Relevant Experience with Autism, or knowledge of TEACCH or ABA principles
  • Resilient & Kind
  • Committed, hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply), dedicated to Safeguarding
