Job Description

Teaching Assistant | Autism (ASC) Specialist | Local Specialist Schools. Position: Full-Time, Long-Term (Term Time Only). Salary: £90 - £95 per day (Weekly Pay - dependent on experience). Start Date: Immediate / Next Term. Are you a patient, perceptive individual with a passion for neurodiversity? Join our specialist network as an Autism Support Assistant and help children with ASC navigate their school day with confidence, comfort, and success. Unlocking Potential: Support Beyond the Standard Classroom. We are seeking dedicated ASC Specialists to work within local Special Schools and Resource Provisions. This role is for those who understand that for a student with Autism, a 'breakthrough' might be a successful transition between lessons, a new word, or a calm afternoon in a sensory room. Sensory-First Approach: Help manage the environment to reduce sensory overload, ensuring students feel safe and ready to learn. Specialised Communication: Gain or use experience with PECS, Makaton, and Visual Timetables to facilitate meaningful interaction. Career Growth: Build a CV that is highly attractive for future roles in Clinical Psychology, SEN Teaching, or Occupational Therapy. Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates of £90 - £95, paid every Friday via Randstad.
