Job Description

We are seeking dedicated ASC Specialists to work within local Special Schools and Resource Provisions. This role is for those who understand that for a student with Autism, a 'breakthrough' might be a successful transition between lessons, a new word, or a calm afternoon in a sensory room.

Job Responsibility

  • Promoting Predictability using visual schedules and now and next boards
  • Supportive Interventions working 1:1 to deliver personalised learning tasks
  • Managing Meltdowns with Empathy by recognising early signs of sensory or emotional deregulation
  • Social Coaching to facilitate structured play or social interactions

Requirements

  • Naturally Observant
  • Relevant Experience with Autism (either professionally or personally), or knowledge of TEACCH or ABA principles
  • Resilient & Kind
  • Committed - holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) and dedicated to Safeguarding

Nice to have

  • Experience with Autism (either professionally or personally)
