Teaching Assistant - Autism Support

• Promoting Predictability: Use visual schedules and "now and next" boards to reduce anxiety and help students manage transitions between activities
• Supportive Interventions: Work 1:1 to deliver personalised learning tasks that align with the student's specific interests and EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) goals
• Managing "Meltdowns" with Empathy: Recognise the early signs of sensory or emotional deregulation and implement calming strategies or "masking" breaks before a crisis occurs
• Social Coaching: Facilitate structured play or social interactions, helping students develop the tools they need to build friendships and work alongside peers
