Job Responsibility

  • Promoting Predictability: Use visual schedules and now and next boards to reduce anxiety and help students manage transitions between activities
  • Supportive Interventions: Work 1:1 to deliver personalised learning tasks that align with the student's specific interests and EHCP goals
  • Managing Meltdowns with Empathy: Recognise the early signs of sensory or emotional deregulation and implement calming strategies or masking breaks before a crisis occurs
  • Social Coaching: Facilitate structured play or social interactions, helping students develop the tools they need to build friendships and work alongside peers
