Are you a patient, perceptive individual with a passion for neurodiversity? Join our specialist network as an Autism Support Assistant and help children with ASC navigate their school day with confidence, comfort, and success.

Job Responsibility

  • Use visual schedules and now and next boards to reduce anxiety and help students manage transitions
  • Work 1:1 to deliver personalised learning tasks aligned with EHCP goals
  • Recognise early signs of sensory or emotional deregulation and implement calming strategies
  • Facilitate structured play or social interactions to help students build friendships

Requirements

  • Naturally Observant
  • Relevant Experience with Autism (professionally or personally) or knowledge of TEACCH or ABA principles
  • Resilient & Kind
  • Committed, holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) and dedicated to Safeguarding
