Job Description:

Randstad Education is seeking reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work on a 1:1 basis with pupils who need additional support to succeed in the classroom. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support a child's development while gaining valuable experience within an educational environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
  • Help the pupil access the curriculum, stay engaged with learning, and develop confidence and independence
  • Support literacy and numeracy tasks
  • Manage behaviour positively
  • Assist with emotional needs
  • Help the pupil follow routines and expectations
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement tailored support strategies and monitor progress

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with children or young people in schools, nurseries, or care settings
  • A genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education
  • Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
  • An enhanced DBS, or willingness to complete one
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
