Teaching Assistant – Secondary Years

• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting students to access learning activities across the curriculum
• Supporting emotional regulation, communication, and social development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom
• Building positive and trusting relationships with students
• Supporting students with additional needs including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties
• Working collaboratively with teaching, pastoral, and therapy teams

• Experience working with children or young people
• Ideally experience supporting students with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour
• A calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive and professional relationships with students
• A proactive and adaptable attitude
