Job Description:

Randstad Education is partnering with an alternative provision centre in Burgess Hill, providing a range of educational opportunities for students from Reception and KS1 through to KS4. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team on a long-term basis.

Job Responsibility:

Working with a diverse group of learners who have faced challenges in their education
Providing individual and small group support to help them achieve their potential
Encouraging students to achieve as many nationally recognised qualifications as possible
Participating in wider learning opportunities
Working closely with teachers and other professionals to create a positive and supportive learning environment
Preparing learning materials
Supporting students with their work
Providing individualised support

Requirements:

Experience working with young people who have experienced difficulties in mainstream education
Strong understanding of child development and learning needs, particularly those with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Resilience and a positive attitude
