Job Description:

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team at a leading alternative provision centre. We provide a range of educational opportunities for students from Reception and KS1 through to KS4, supporting them to achieve their full potential.

Job Responsibility:

Make a difference: Work with a diverse group of learners who have faced challenges in their education, providing individual and small group support to help them succeed
Support and Encourage: Be a key part of a team that encourages students to achieve as many nationally recognized qualifications as possible and participate in wider learning opportunities
Create a Positive Environment: Work closely with teachers and other professionals to create a positive and supportive learning environment
Be Hands-On: Be involved in a range of activities, including preparing learning materials, supporting students with their work, and providing individualised support

Requirements:

Experience working with young people who have experienced difficulties in mainstream education
A strong understanding of child development and learning needs, particularly those with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Resilience and a positive attitude
