Job Description:

Randstad Education is partnering with an alternative provision centre in Littlehampton, providing full-time places for children and young people who have been permanently excluded, those at risk of exclusion, and those out of school for medical reasons. We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team on a long-term basis.

Job Responsibility:

Working with a diverse group of learners, ranging from KS3 to KS4
Providing individual and small group support
Helping students to re-engage with their education, develop their social and emotional skills, and build confidence
Working closely with teachers and other professionals to create a positive and supportive learning environment
Preparing learning materials
Supporting students with their work
Providing individualised support

Requirements:

Experience working with young people who have experienced difficulties in mainstream education
A strong understanding of child development and learning needs, particularly those with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Resilience and a positive attitude
