Job Description

We are seeking a committed Teaching and Learning Coach to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive and support high-quality apprenticeship and work-based learning provision across all curriculum areas
  • Coach, mentor, and challenge tutors, assessors, and skills coaches to improve teaching, learning, and assessment practice
  • Conduct learning walks, quality reviews, and learner work scrutiny to identify strengths and areas for improvement
  • Design and deliver CPD, training, and professional development activities to enhance staff capability and performance
  • Ensure apprenticeship delivery aligns with standards, Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs), and End-Point Assessment (EPA) requirements
  • Analyse performance and quality data to identify trends, implement improvement actions, and monitor their impact on learner outcomes
  • Contribute to quality assurance, self-assessment, and continuous improvement planning while promoting innovative and evidence-based teaching practices
  • Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments

Requirements

  • Demonstrable success in delivering and supporting high-quality apprenticeship and work-based learning programmes that achieve strong learner outcomes
  • Experience of driving improvements in teaching, learning, and assessment, particularly within apprenticeship and work-based learning settings
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching strategies, assessment methods, and quality assurance processes
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff, including designing and delivering impactful training and professional development activities
  • Hold a recognised post-16 teaching qualification, Assessor and/or IQA qualification, and Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English
