Job Description:

Eden School is a specialist independent school in Macclesfield where every child is valued as part of a close and supportive community. We provide individualised SEN education within a therapeutic learning environment for young people aged 6–16 with autism, ADHD, and/or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Pupils are taught in small classes of no more than six, each supported by at least one full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to ensure a high level of personalised support.

Job Responsibility:

Teaching across KS2–KS4
Using a primary-style approach tailored to support individual learning and developmental needs
Engaging disengaged learners
Delivering learning to pupils with a diverse range of needs
Measuring success by pupils’ progress in academic, social and emotional areas

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (required)
Ability to teach a range of subjects (required)
At least 1 year experience as a teacher (required)
Experience of teaching children with SEN (required)
An excellent, innovative classroom teacher
A teacher who understands the importance of a therapeutic approach to education
