Linwood School has vacancies across several campuses for suitably experienced and qualified Teachers, for pupils who have a range of special educational needs. We are seeking permanent, full and part-time Teachers. Campus and key stage requirements/preferences will be discussed at interview.
Job Responsibility:
Teach pupils who have a diagnosis of autism and other complex needs and follow a semi-formal curriculum (Springwood Campus)
Teach students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including severe, moderate or complex learning needs (Linwood/Woodford Campuses)
Teach a range of subjects in one of our curriculum pathways
Lead subject areas
Lead a small team of Teaching Assistants within the classroom
Requirements:
Must hold QTS or QTLS with valid SET membership
Competent and effective classroom practitioner
Ability to lead a small team of Teaching Assistants
Sound understanding of pedagogy
Knowledge of teaching literacy and numeracy skills
Confident to support learners with a wide range of abilities
Passionate about teaching and learning
Resilient and welcome challenge
Able to inspire, engage and motivate pupils
Well organised and keen to further develop their skills
Creative approach to teaching and learning
Nice to have:
Previous experience of working with children and young people with learning difficulties and/or social communication difficulties
Previous experience of working with children and young people with SEND
