Job Responsibility:
Design and conduct compelling lessons that are precisely adjusted (differentiated) to fulfil the Individual Education Plan (IEP) targets of SEN students, covering skills in reading, writing, and verbal expression
Gauge student development in language and literacy using both structured and casual assessment tools, leveraging this information to continually improve teaching methodologies and learning resources
Modify and simplify complex academic content and materials to ensure full access to the curriculum for every student, making the subject matter stimulating and pertinent
Collaborate effectively with support staff, families, and external specialists to provide cohesive and thorough student backing
Establish an uplifting, disciplined, and productive classroom climate, expertly applying behaviour management strategies to guarantee focused learning for all
Requirements:
Mandatory Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Substantial, verified experience instructing the curriculum to students with a range of SEN categories in UK educational settings
A valid, current Enhanced DBS certificate is required, or a willingness to promptly obtain one
Robust, practical expertise in effective SEN teaching techniques, including focused literacy intervention and communication assistance devices
Exceptional perseverance, resourcefulness, powerful classroom leadership, and strong skills in maintaining discipline
