Are you a Qualified Teacher (QTS) with a passion for Special Educational Needs (SEN) looking for a highly rewarding, term-time only role? Join an expanding special school in Slough dedicated to transforming the lives of pupils aged 2 to 19. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply and will benefit from a dedicated, supportive induction program.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead learning and make a profound impact on student well-being and development
  • Opportunity to contribute to the launch of a new satellite school and shape its curriculum
  • Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated education within a Special School setting

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Proven experience or strong training emphasis in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Ability to design and implement differentiated learning plans for diverse needs
  • Knowledge and experience teaching pupils with a wide range of special educational needs, including: Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Needs (PMLD), Autism (ASC/ASD)
  • Patience, empathy, and genuine commitment to student progress
  • Ability to work collaboratively with TAs and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proactive approach and adaptability to changing educational environments
  • Strong understanding of behavioural support strategies and positive reinforcement
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
