An innovative Alternative Provision City Hub in Nottingham is seeking an expert, reflective SEN Teacher capable of blending high-level subject specialist delivery with advanced restorative practice. This is a role for a practitioner who wants to operate at the cutting edge of trauma-informed alternative education.
Job Responsibility
Take accountability for the progress of intimate cohorts (3-6 learners)
Use advanced differentiation skills to unlock potential in students
Utilise subject expertise to dynamically shape a curriculum
Lead and direct skilled Teaching Assistants to deliver targeted 1:1 interventions
Formulate ambitious, highly individualised educational blueprints using robust baseline data
Champion and model high-level relational and restorative behaviour strategies
Act as a key multi-agency liaison
Uphold and model exemplary, proactive safeguarding practices
Requirements
QTS
PGCE
or equivalent teaching qualification with a proven track record of teaching excellence
Deep understanding of or a passionate commitment to trauma-informed practice and restorative justice frameworks
A highly reflective practitioner dedicated to continuous professional development and collaborative team growth
A valid driving license is essential for this role
