Science Teacher | Long-Term & Temporary Roles | Horsham Do you have the formula for academic success? The Role We are looking for educators who can turn a classroom into a laboratory of discovery. You will be responsible for sparking curiosity and delivering high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a bonus). Location: Horsham and surrounding areas. Pay: Competitive daily rates (paid to scale) based on experience. Contract: Flexible options including long-term maternity cover, block bookings, and daily supply. Key Responsibilities Practical Learning: Plan and lead safe, engaging practical experiments and theoretical lessons that align with the National Curriculum. Inclusion: Differentiate work to ensure students of all abilities-including those with SEN and EAL-can access the wonders of Science. Progress Tracking: Use regular assessments to identify learning gaps and provide the scaffolding students need to excel in their exams. Safety First: Maintain rigorous health and safety standards within the lab environment. Collaboration: Work alongside lab technicians and Teaching Assistants to ensure lessons run smoothly and effectively. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs are very welcome to apply). A degree in a Science-related subject. Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting.
