The British School Warsaw is looking for an experienced and passionate Teacher of Science to join our dynamic Science faculty. The role involves teaching Science across KS3 and your specialism(s) at IGCSE, and the IBDP. The department incorporates metacognitive thinking skills into lessons and enjoys collaborations with global partners such as MIT, UNICEF, and Juilliard.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for KS3, IGCSE, and IBDP students
Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment that encourages personal and academic growth
Collaborate on curriculum development, assessment design, and departmental initiatives
Integrate Nord Anglia’s unique resources and global partnerships into your teaching
Actively participate in school life, including the LEAP co-curricular program, events, and supervision duties
Maintain open communication with parents and contribute to academic reviews
Engage in professional development and model lifelong learning
Carry out the role of a Form Tutor to support students in their personal and academic growth
Fulfil active supervision and lesson cover duties as required
Requirements:
An honours degree in a relevant subject area
UK QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
Proven experience teaching in an English-speaking school environment
A genuine passion and motivation for education, in particular in an international context
A high level of personal integrity and professionalism
Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire students
A high level of proficiency in using technology for teaching and administration
A collaborative mindset and flexibility to support the wider school community
Experience teaching the IBDP curriculum in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or ESS is highly advantageous
Ability to meet visa-related restrictions for Poland
