We are looking for a candidate who will join a very strong science department and will work collaboratively to shape science provision at the school, embed the school vision and develop an outstanding school.
Job Responsibility:
Create a positive climate for learning, by explicitly teaching lesson routines and applying behaviour systems consistently and fairly
Nurture every student’s intellectual curiosity, asking pertinent questions to deepen pupils understanding
Participate in and contribute to effective collaborative planning for every year group
Contribute to the planning of assessments and subject specific revision, including preparing students for national examinations
Develop strong partnerships and ensure regular communication with parents
Be active in issues of pupil welfare and support
Requirements:
Mastery of and enthusiasm for science
Knowledge of the national secondary education system, examinations and curriculum
Excellent understanding of both subject and general teaching pedagogy
Excellent interpersonal, planning and organisational skills
Genuine passion for and a belief in the potential of every pupil
Strong A Levels or equivalent
Qualified to degree level and above, preferably in Science or a closely related discipline
Qualified to teach and work in the UK
