Job Responsibility:
Deliver science instruction to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and complex needs
Tailor the science curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual student requirements
Design and execute engaging, inclusive lessons featuring practical demonstrations and visual aids
Integrate Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) goals into everyday teaching and assessment practices
Provide holistic support-both academic and pastoral-to students, promoting their confidence and emotional well-being
Engage in effective collaboration with colleagues, support staff, and parents
Keep detailed records of student progress and attainment
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school's science program
Requirements:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has legal authorization to work in the UK
Possesses a current Enhanced DBS check (or is willing to obtain one)
Has a proven track record of teaching SEN students in UK educational settings
Demonstrates exceptional classroom management and behaviour guidance skills
Is passionate about creating an inclusive learning atmosphere and inspiring a love for STEM subjects
Exhibits outstanding communication, interpersonal, and team-working abilities
Is highly adaptable, resilient, and dedicated to meeting students' unique needs
6+ Months Required Experience
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant scientific field
