Job Description:

We currently have a position available within Oasis Academy Leesbrook for an innovative Teacher of Religious Studies to be part of the wider Humanities faculty by delivering exemplary RE lessons and raising class attainment and engagement with regards to teaching, learning and assessment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver exemplary RE lessons
  • Raise class attainment and engagement with regards to teaching, learning and assessment
  • Be a key part of learners’ Humanities education
  • Deliver engaging Religious Education lessons in line with the wider curriculum requirements
  • Inspire and understand students’ learning needs
  • Assess progress in RE
  • Raise and sustain achievement within the subject

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant specialist qualifications and subject experience (e.g BA Hons degree)
  • Understanding of curriculum requirements for Religious Education and Humanities
  • Ability to deliver differentiated lessons for different learning styles, ensuring that all pupils can achieve
