Job Responsibility:
Contribute fully to the mission and values statement of the College
Plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons to achieve excellent student outcomes
Set and mark work in accordance with College and department Assessment policy
Develop rapport with individuals and whole groups to facilitate the learning process
Liaise with Head of Departments to contribute to administration supporting teaching and learning
Teach in other departments where required
Attend and contribute to team, full staff and other relevant meetings
Communicate and consult with parents, carers, students as appropriate, including attendance at Consultation and Open Evenings
Requirements:
Relevant degree
Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
High level of communication and interpersonal skills
High level of skill in the management of learning with a commitment to a student-centred approach
Awareness and understanding of current developments in the subject area
Ability to manage student progress and achievement
High level of organisational and administrative skills
