Job Description

To join our team in August 2026, we are looking for a well-qualified and talented Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish and French).

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging and effective instruction in Spanish and French, aligned with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula
  • Plan and execute dynamic lessons that cater to diverse learning needs, incorporating modern teaching strategies and technology
  • Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, ensuring high academic standards
  • Provide pastoral support, promoting student well-being and collaborating with the school’s well-being team
  • Encourage student involvement in extra-curricular activities, cultural events, and language-related projects
  • Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment with high standards of behaviour and discipline
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development goals
  • Engage parents and stakeholders through regular communication about student progress
  • Stay current with educational advancements and participate in ongoing professional development

Requirements

  • A relevant degree in Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish and French) or related field, plus a valid teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Spanish and French at the secondary level, ideally with knowledge of IB curriculum (IBDP) or other international programmes
  • Ability to inspire and engage students, fostering a love for languages and culture
  • Strong skills in differentiating instruction for diverse learners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Experience using technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices
