Job Responsibility
Support the planning and delivery of engaging Maths lessons across a range of abilities
Work alongside experienced teachers to deliver high-quality classroom instruction
Assist in preparing learning materials, resources, and classroom activities
Support pupils individually and in small groups to reinforce learning and close gaps
Contribute to maintaining a positive, focused, and inclusive classroom environment
Observe experienced practitioners and take part in structured feedback and coaching sessions
Gradually take on increased teaching responsibility as part of your training pathway towards QTS
Support assessment, marking, and tracking of pupil progress under guidance
Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and whole-school CPD
Requirements
Hold a degree in Maths or a closely related subject and be working towards QTS
Show genuine enthusiasm for Maths and a strong desire to develop as a teacher
Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to learn from feedback
Be committed to supporting pupils of all abilities to achieve their potential
Communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a supportive, professional team
