Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mathematics Teacher to join our team in August 2026. In addition, there is a possibility that the successful candidate could take on the Head of Faculty responsibility. The successful candidate will have experience delivering Mathematics across IGCSE, A-Level and IBDP Programmes.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver lessons with clear objectives and assessments
  • Set challenging tasks to maintain interest and build on prior attainment
  • Cater to individual student needs and maintain lesson structure, pace and motivation
  • Use diverse teaching methods, including questioning, resource selection and study skill development
  • Ensure effective use of time, assessments and school policies on discipline, behavior and homework
  • Contribute to curriculum development with clear targets and success criteria
  • Act as Class Tutor, supporting the progress and well-being of students
  • Register attendance, encourage participation and address individual student concerns
  • Prepare reports, action plans and communicate with staff about student needs
  • Understand professional responsibilities and operate within school policies
  • Maintain subject expertise and uphold high standards of conduct
  • Work collaboratively with staff and contribute to school activities, meetings and events
  • Engage with parents and the learning community while pursuing personal professional development

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject area or B.Ed.
  • Post Graduate Certificate of Education or a certificate of equivalence
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of teaching experience in secondary section
  • Experience in using ICT to enhance teaching and learning
  • Experience in IGCSE, A-Level and IBDP Programmes
  • Previous experience in an international school setting
  • Ability to set clear expectations and stretch goals
  • A depth of understanding in the relevant subject area
  • Ability to judge learning effectiveness
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and a growth mindset
  • Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare

Nice to have

  • Experience in IGCSE, A-Level and IBDP Programmes
  • Previous experience in an international school setting
