Maths Teacher | Long-Term & Temporary Opportunities | Horley Are you a passionate educator ready to make numbers count? Randstad Education is currently seeking dedicated and inspiring Maths Teachers to join our team for several high-priority placements across secondary schools in Horley. Whether you are looking for a long-term career move or the flexibility of temporary assignments, we want to hear from you. The Role We are looking for individuals who can bring Mathematics to life. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5), ensuring that every student has the support and challenge they need to succeed. Location: Horley and surrounding areas. Start Date: Immediate and September starts available. Contract Type: Long-term, permanent, and flexible temporary roles. Pay: Competitive rates based on experience (Scale 1-6 / MPS / UPS).

Job Responsibility

  • Inspiring Learning: Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons that cater to a range of abilities
  • Assessment & Progress: Use data and assessments to track student growth and provide 'live' feedback to close learning gaps
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, 'outstanding' learning environment where students feel safe and focused
  • Collaboration: Work closely with department heads and Teaching Assistants to ensure every child reaches their potential
  • Safeguarding: Act as a vigilant protector of student well-being, following all school policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs/NQTs are highly encouraged to apply!)
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
  • A proven track record of helping students achieve strong results
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate (on the Update Service is a massive plus)
  • A resilient, patient, and professional attitude
