Job Description:

Cornwallis Academy are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and effective maths specialist with a passion for their subject. The post offers an outstanding opportunity for continuous personal and professional development for a highly motivated and ambitious teacher looking for career advancement. This is an exciting opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher. The person appointed would be supported by a strong and well-established Maths team, led by an excellent Director of Mathematics. As well as our state-of-the-art facilities, we have an exciting programme of trips, visits, visitors and extra-curricular activities.

Job Responsibility:

Share passion with students to excite and inspire their learning journey
Teach Mathematics to a higher level at KS4
Deliver outstanding lessons
Pass on knowledge to young people
Take on responsibility and lead on aspects of the Maths curriculum

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status
Recent, relevant teaching experience
Experience as an outstanding classroom practitioner who can inspire students
Excellent subject knowledge
The ability to teach Mathematics to a higher level at KS4.
Drive, determination and spirit
Organisation skills that allow you to get the most from every student
A commitment to delivering outstanding lessons
Enthusiasm for passing on your knowledge to young people
Communication skills and confidence to deliver teaching and learning
The desire to overachieve in an environment that rewards excellence
A willingness to take on responsibility and lead on aspects of the Maths curriculum
