The British School of Bahrain (BSB) is seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of KS2 to start in August, 2026. The British School of Bahrain is committed to providing a high-quality, international education for students in the Kingdom of Bahrain. We are a selective, coeducational, independent Nursery-through-Year 13 school. Our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England and Wales, with some adaptations to the local context and offers IGCSE and A-Level/BTEC examinations. Job Responsibility:
Creating Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver lessons that inspire and challenge all students and are in line with the school's curriculum, policies, and external assessment requirements. You will individualise and differentiate learning, ensuring each student is stretched, supported, and makes outstanding progress
Supporting and Assessing Progress: Regularly assess students' in-class and at-home learning, providing targeted feedback to drive progress and ensure all students are challenged and supported in reaching their potential
Building a Positive Learning Environment: Establish a classroom and school environment where students are invested in each other's flourishing, feel valued and supported, and are ready to take risks in their learning
Collaborating and Sharing Best Practices: Work closely with colleagues as an active member of our learning community, sharing best practices, collaborating with colleagues, and dedicating yourself to your own professional development to ensure the highest standard of education for our students
Contributing to School Life: Play an active role in the school's co-curricular programme, helping to create a well-rounded, enriching educational experience. From leading clubs to contributing to whole school initiatives, you will help shape the broader life of the school

Requirements:
Experience in delivering the UK Key Stage 2 curriculum
A relevant degree, PGCE or BEd or the equivalent
A passion for their subject and pedagogical development
Place the individual child at the centre of everything that they do
A passion for achieving high levels of learning and a team player
Prioritise happiness, enjoyment and a sense of fun in their work and lessons
Confidence in the use of ICT in teaching
High expectations and aspirations for all students
A demonstratable commitment to the overall development of young people
