We are looking for a well-qualified and talented Teacher of Key Stage 3 Science, with experience in international or UK-based curricula to join our team in August 2026.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science instruction at Key Stage 3, aligned with the school’s curriculum framework
  • Plan and execute dynamic lessons that promote scientific enquiry, experimentation, and critical thinking
  • Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, ensuring high academic standards
  • Provide pastoral support, promoting student well-being and collaborating with the school’s well-being team
  • Encourage student involvement in extra-curricular activities, science clubs, and enrichment opportunities
  • Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment with high standards of behaviour and discipline
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development goals
  • Engage parents and stakeholders through regular communication about student progress
  • Stay current with developments in science education and participate in ongoing professional development

Requirements

  • A relevant degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field), plus a valid teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 (experience in international or UK curricula preferred)
  • Ability to inspire and engage students, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for Science
  • Strong skills in differentiating instruction for diverse learners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Experience using technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices
