Job Description:

We are looking to appoint a full-time outstanding Teacher of Humanities who can inspire and excite students in their learning of Humanities. You will be joining a well-resourced department that is driven in our focus on raising achievement. Humanities, and their discrete subjects, are popular options at GCSE and the post offers outstanding opportunities for continuous personal and professional development for a highly motivated and ambitious teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for an ECT or experienced teacher. The person appointed would be supported by the Second in Charge of Humanities and will join a team of specialist teachers in the Humanities department. As well as our state-of-the-art facilities, and innovative digital curriculum, we have an exciting programme of trips, visits, visitors and extra-curricular activities. New Line Learning Academy value positive working relationships and seek individuals who will support this ethos. We are very excited about the future of Humanities in our Academy, and we are ready to invest in the right people to ensure its success.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience of teaching Geography, History or RE
  • An excellent teacher who is passionate about learning and has strong subject knowledge
  • Able to maintain a positive growth mindset despite challenges they may face
  • Collaborative, able to build strong professional relationships
  • Able to motivate and inspire students and staff to achieve their full potential
  • Energetic and have a can-do attitude
  • Confident and has strong career aspirations
  • Committed to safeguarding and the happiness and wellbeing of everyone at the Academy
  • Prepared to be involved in leading co-curricular activities either within or outside of their teaching subject
