Job Description:

An opportunity to deliver outstanding teaching at IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) level while contributing to curriculum development and driving innovation within the Humanities Department at King’s College School, Latvia. The role involves inspiring a love for history, promoting academic excellence, and fostering critical thinking and global awareness among students.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver engaging and high-quality History lessons at IB Diploma Programme level
Foster historical inquiry, critical thinking, and analytical skills
Track, evaluate, and report on student progress
Contribute to curriculum development and improvement of schemes of work, resources, and assessment
Encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities
Collaborate with colleagues across departments
Utilize digital tools and platforms to enhance teaching
Contribute to the broader school community by supporting events, workshops, and parent engagement

Requirements:

A degree in History or a closely related discipline
A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
Proven experience teaching History at IB Diploma Programme level
Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students
A commitment to promoting critical thinking, global awareness, and intellectual curiosity
Confidence in integrating technology into lessons
A collaborative approach
