Job Description

Justteachers are working with a secondary school to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of History. This is a full-time role to start in March 2026 and is based in Oldham.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver a broad and balanced History curriculum aligned with national standards and school values
  • Teach to KS4
  • Inspire students through creative and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively
  • Contribute to departmental planning, moderation, and resource development

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong academic background in History or a related discipline
  • Proven ability to teach History across a range of abilities and age groups
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
  • Two school-based references
  • Legal right to work in the UK
