Job Description

Teacher of History at Oasis Academy Brightstowe, Bristol. Full-time, permanent. MPS 1-6/UPS 1-3. Start date 1st September 2026.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan and implement high-quality learning experiences that meet the needs of all students
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with Academy policies
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
  • Uphold the Oasis ethos and values in all aspects of Academy life

Requirements

  • Holds QTS and a degree in a History subject
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for History education
  • Has experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4
  • Is committed to achieving high standards for all students
  • Possesses strong classroom management and interpersonal skills
  • Is reflective, resilient, and eager to grow professionally
