Job Description:

Teacher of Graphics for the Photography & Graphics department, which offers A-Level Photography and A-Level Graphics Design. The department comprises 5 staff members. The exam board is Edexcel. The college is a Catholic Sixth Form College, one of the highest performing nationally for Value Added.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contribute fully to the mission and values statement of the College
  • Plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons
  • Set and mark work in accordance with College and department Assessment policy
  • Provide pastoral care and support for students
  • Encourage high standards of behaviour, attendance, and engagement
  • Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified and referred
  • Develop rapport with individuals and whole groups
  • Liaise with the Head of Department in contributing to administration
  • Attend and contribute to team, full staff and other relevant meetings
  • Teach in other departments where required
  • Communicate and consult with parents, carers, students
  • Attend Consultation and Open Evenings

  • Relevant degree
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of skill in the management of learning

  • Awareness and understanding of current developments in the subject area
