Job Description:

Justteachers are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Leicester to recruit a passionate and dedicated German Teacher. This role is based within a diverse and inclusive secondary school for students aged 11–16, located in Leicester. The school places a strong emphasis on language learning and cultural awareness, encouraging students to develop confidence in communication and a global outlook. Through Justteachers, you will receive ongoing support, access to professional development, and opportunities to work within a variety of local schools.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver engaging German lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
  • Prepare students for GCSE German examinations
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress in line with curriculum expectations
  • Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Promote cultural awareness and enthusiasm for languages
  • Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching German at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for languages
  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and engaging approach to teaching
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
