Job Description:

Are you passionate about inspiring young people to understand the world around them? The Portsmouth Academy is seeking a Teacher of Geography to join our Humanities team teaching our students from Years 7 - 11.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that captivate and inspire our students
  • Assess and monitor student progress to help them achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students
  • Actively participate in school life, and professional development opportunities, contributing to the vibrant community at The Portsmouth Academy

Requirements:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography
  • Committed to high standards and raising achievement for all students
  • Keen to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
  • A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with young people, colleagues and families
