Job Description:

An exciting opportunity to deliver outstanding teaching at IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) level while contributing to curriculum development and driving innovation within the Humanities Department. The successful candidate will inspire a love for geography, promote academic excellence, and foster critical thinking and global awareness among students.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons at IB Diploma Programme level
Foster geographical inquiry, critical thinking, and analytical skills
Track, evaluate, and report on student progress
Contribute to curriculum development and the ongoing improvement of schemes of work, resources, and assessment practices
Encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities
Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support interdisciplinary learning
Utilize digital tools and platforms to enhance the teaching and learning experience
Contribute to the broader school community by supporting events, workshops, and parent engagement activities

Requirements:

A degree in Geography or a closely related discipline
A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS)
Proven experience teaching Geography at IB Diploma Programme level
Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students
A commitment to promoting critical thinking, environmental awareness, and intellectual curiosity
Confidence in integrating technology into lessons
A collaborative approach
