Oasis Academy Brightstowe is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled practitioner to join our thriving academy. For an experienced candidate with the vision and drive to lead curriculum development, there is the potential to undertake a Subject Lead responsibility, supported by a TLR2a allowance. Job Responsibility
Deliver high-quality Food and Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Inspire students to develop creativity, resilience and problem-solving skills
Plan and deliver engaging practical and theoretical learning
Monitor, assess and support student progress
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
Create a positive culture of high expectations and achievement
Uphold the Oasis ethos and values in all aspects of academy life
Requirements
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have a relevant degree in Food Technology, Design Technology or a related subject
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and passion for your subject
Have successful experience teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4
Be committed to securing excellent outcomes for all students
Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Be reflective, resilient and committed to continuous professional development
Nice to have
Experience of curriculum leadership or leading aspects of teaching and learning
The ability to inspire and develop colleagues
A clear vision for raising achievement and engagement within the subject
The drive and ambition to lead curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
