Job Description:

justteachers is working with a Secondary School in the east of Leeds who are looking for a Teacher of English to start as soon as possible on a full time basis for a long term supply position. You will be joining a well regarded school with a vibrant and welcoming English department who will offer you support with planning.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Prepare students for both practical and written examinations
  • Track and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary
  • Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities that promote reading and writing

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to provide two education-based references
  • Legal right to work in the UK
