Job Description:

Westminster School is looking for a well-qualified English Teacher to provide sabbatical cover for one term, commencing in September 2026. The postholder will join a team of ten English experts, with a diverse range of experiences and specialisms, to maintain Westminster’s very high academic standards while also continuing to develop and refine curriculums and pedagogy in English in light of the School’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver outstanding English teaching and learning
Maintain high academic standards
Develop and refine curriculums and pedagogy in English
Encourage cross-curricular work
Contribute to partnership work in English, including via Westminster’s Platform+ programme
Support pupils with university preparation
Contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the School

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in English or an equivalent qualification
Inspiring and passionate teacher
Excellent communicator
Ability to motivate and support pupils
Well-organised and self-sufficient
Team player
Ability to innovate in response to emerging technological tools
