Job Responsibility

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons across the age and ability range
  • Teach English across KS3 and KS4
  • Utilize a broad and diverse curriculum that interleaves key skills with knowledge-rich content to inspire students beyond the classroom
  • Collaborate with a team of post-holders to develop and share high-quality teaching resources
  • Monitor student performance closely to identify areas of need and implement effective interventions
  • Engage fully with the school's extensive CPD programme and participate in departmental peer-learning

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A professionally qualified teacher with a passion for English
  • Reflective Mindset: A teacher who adapts lessons to suit specific student needs and monitors performance to identify areas for development
  • Collaboration: A team player willing to share ideas and contribute to the wider school community through enrichment activities
  • Adaptability: The ability to tailor a broad curriculum to your own expertise while meeting the diverse needs of your students
  • Experience in delivering A Level English Language and Literature is highly desirable
