Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill is looking to recruit an inspiring teacher to join our well qualified English team. Housed in a spectacular building with state of the art facilities, the Academy is part of Oasis Community Learning, the second largest Multi Academy Trust in England, and one of a group of Oasis Academies serving Southampton. Oasis Horizons Project. This will see every student in the Academy have a dedicated iPad for use in the classroom. This is a hugely exciting development, and one which we want our new English teacher to play a key part in developing the use of online and interactive technology to enhance learning. As part of Oasis Community Learning, the Academy follows the pre-planned and resourced OCL English curriculum. This offers exceptional pedagogical development for teachers, alongside support of our dedicated National Lead Practitioner for English.

Job Responsibility:

Requirements:

  • Inspirational and outstanding teacher
  • Required to teach English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4 to the highest standard
  • Willingness to support the Academy ethos and support of extra-curricular activities
  • Must be able to use a range of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate students
  • Demonstrate a commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues
  • Show a willingness to demonstrate commitment to the values and behaviours of the Oasis ethos
  • Must undergo appropriate checks, including enhanced DBS checks
