We are partnering with a prestigious, Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' secondary school in Upminster to recruit a talented English Teacher for a one-term temporary contract covering the Autumn term (September to December 2026). Because it is an 'Outstanding' environment, resources are fantastic, planning is well-structured, and you will be stepping into a highly organised department where you can hit the ground running. The Role (Autumn Term Only): Delivering high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Stepping into an established timetable with existing planning and resources fully available. Maintaining the high standards of progress and engagement within a supportive faculty. Full-time commitment for the duration of the 14-week Autumn term. What We Are Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. The ability to adapt quickly and make an immediate impact within a one-term placement. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. This role is ideal for experienced teachers wanting a short-term commitment, or ECTs looking to gain valuable 'Outstanding' school experience.
